This Privacy Policy explains how your personal information is collected, used, and disclosed by KAI, an AI assistant app that chats with you, remembers context across conversations, and can place AI-initiated voice calls for reminders and check-ins.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly, such as your name, preferences, and the content of your conversations with KAI (text messages and voice call transcripts). We also collect information KAI learns about you over time to personalize its responses, including goals, deadlines, habits, and context you share during chats or calls.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use personal information collected via the app for a variety of purposes, including:

  • To facilitate account creation and sign-in.
  • To power KAI's persistent memory, so conversations, goals, and reminders continue across sessions.
  • To place AI-initiated voice calls for reminders, daily briefs, and goal check-ins that you have set up.
  • To send administrative and service-related notifications.
  • To improve and protect our Services.

3. AI Processing & Third-Party Model Providers

To generate responses and process voice calls, your messages and call audio are sent to third-party AI model providers for processing. We select providers under terms that prohibit using your data to train their models. We do not sell your personal information.

4. Sharing Your Information

We only share information with your consent, to comply with laws, to provide you with services (including the AI processing described above), to protect your rights, or to fulfill business obligations.

5. Data Retention & Security

We retain your conversation history and memory data for as long as your account is active so KAI can continue to assist you, and we aim to protect this information through organizational and technical security measures. You may request deletion at any time (see our Account Deletion page).
